Freka FCJ (Fine Needle Catheter Jejunostomy)
Direct postoperative enteral feeding tube

Freka FCJ, also known as fine needle catheter jejunostomy, is a polyurethane 9 FR enteral feeding tube that can be placed intraoperatively during abdominal surgery.

It is used for early postoperative intrajejunal long-term feeding.

The Freka FCJ allows postoperative nutrition despite atonic stomach.

Feeding can start 4 - 24 hours post surgery at a rate of up to 20 mL/hr.

Freka FCJ: Key features

Freka FCJ is for long-term intestinal feeding after abdominal or laparoscopic procedures.
 

  • Enteral ENFit connector for a secure and tight connection

  • Biocompatible polyurethane

  • Embedded X-ray strip

  • Transparent tube material for visual inspection of administration of nutrition and liquid

  • Numbered every 5 cm with intervals every 2.5 cm

  • Rounded terminal opening of the tube

  • 10.5 cm long peel-away splitting cannula and 13 cm peel-away splitting cannula with blunt mandrin

  • External retention plate made of silicone rubber for patient comfort 

  • Tube clamp with side walls to minimise "false clamping"
